Happy Saturday lovelies!
One of my favorite ways to refresh my wardrobe each season is to update my neutral pieces that can be paired with multiple items. Basics help to pull your full wardrobe together, giving you a more expanded collection. Sounds simple, I know – but if you’re one of those closet lingerers who stands in front of your clothes each morning thinking you have nothing to wear, you may need some more neutrals in your life.
Today, I’m sharing four neutral pieces I’m loving this summer that you need in your closet stat!
1. Striped Tank
Stripes are a neutral in my book and this style of tank is so versatile. The woven material is perfect for the summer months to keep cool. This Striped Cami will go with just about everything in your wardrobe.
Three Way to Wear
Office: Tuck in a pencil skirt + add a white blazer
Coffee Date: Wear under a fun-colored cardigan
Weekend Errands: Pair with your favorite joggers
Side note: It also comes in Pink Stripes, Navy Stripes and several other patterns/colors.
2. Paperbag Waist Shorts
I’ve been loving the paper bag waist trend this Spring/Summer, which is flattering on all shapes/sizes and can we talk about comfortable?! I picked up this olive green pair recently and have have found they can go with just about any top I can tuck in the front. For neutrals I’ve invested in olive green, blush, black and a few basic patterns.
3. Comfortable Slides
If you haven’t been living under a rock this summer, you’ve seen slides similar to the ones I’m wearing. Nothing new here, but I can’t stress enough how comfortable this style of shoe is. Again, choosing a neutral color (like white, black or brown) will give you the option to slip them on with any outfit. I’ve worn these to the beach, with the outfit above out shopping, with my athleisure looks and many other ways.
4. Backpack
I don’t know about you, but I’m a bag lady (i’ve been known to carry three to work) and I’ve been loving leather backpacks recently because they are extremely functional, yet still chic. I can fit my laptop into this white one which is perfect for work, traveling or even sneaking some snacks into the movies 🙂
There you have it. Four great items that you can work into your wardrobe and build multiple looks with. Hope you have a lovely weekend!
