What I’m Wearing: Multi-color Blanket Scarf / Grey Sweater / Similar / Denim / Tan OTK Boots
Hi friends! I hope you all had the most wonderful holiday! We spent a lot of time with family and it was so nice to have a long break from work. I still cannot believe 2019 is here!
If you’ve been keeping up with my Insta feed, I’ve had my favorite winter accessory on repeat – the blanket scarf! I think I’ve worn one just about every day since it’s gotten cool outside. #noshame
I love how a blanket scarf can completely pull together a look, while also being warm and cozy! They are just so versatile.
I’ll be linking everything under each photo if you feel like adding any of these to your winter wardrobe!
Now let’s jump into it! Here are nine ways to style a blanket scarf!
1. Color Coordinated
Have a sweater you love? Find its perfect companion by color coordinating with a blanket scarf. This is also a great way to up-cycle a sweater from last season or get more wear out of one that doesn’t get out of your closet much. I’ve also done this camel/red scarf with a tan sweater and it’s so cute!
Okay ready for some bad news? Unfortunately this exact scarf is sold out online. Which I’m so bummed about because it’s easily one of my favorites of the season. But you can check your nearest H&M to find it in stores! I’m linking some other options for you here! Similar / Similar / Similar
2. Short Wrapped
This is by far the best way to wear a scarf to keep you warm! Functional and cute. I simply wrap it around once or twice so it sits right at the neck and keep any details (like these tassels) at the bottom/front so they don’t get hidden. This works best with a longer scarf.

3. With a Vest
This is my favorite way to opt out of wearing a winter jacket! Especially if I’m not walking outside for a long period of time/just going from my car into a restaurant for example, I’ll throw on a vest and a scarf and I’m good to go! When wearing a vest, I normally just keep the scarf worn long in the front, rather than wrapping or tying it up.

4. On Top of Your Favorite Pullover
Add an extra layer of cozy by throwing on a blanket scarf over your favorite pullover or sweatshirt!

5. Traditional with Plaid
When it comes to blanket scarves, you can never go wrong with classic plaid! This is a simple look that you can likely pull together with items you already have in your closet!

6. Paired With Muted Tones
Contrary to the above, keep it on the more simple side by mixing and matching muted color tones. This muted mint green scarf has been one of my go-to’s this season! Pairing with greys, taupes and creams has been my favorite way to style it.

6. In a Simple Knot
Go classic and wear your scarf in a simple knot. Opt to keep it tucked inside (for those super chilly days) or leave your jacket open to see more of the scarf.

8. Mixing Patterns
I’m all for color coordinating or going with a monochromatic look but mixing patterns is fun too! If you keep either your top or scarf neutral, you’re golden!

9. As a Statement Piece
One reason why I love blanket scarves so much, is their ability to transform a simple outfit – like this one here. I’m wearing a tan/cream sweater and a pair of jeans – nothing too special. But adding this pom pom scarf into the mix makes more of a statement!
This fun pom pom scarf comes in so many colors! I’m also loving the Lilac color. Snag it for under $17!
All of these scarves can be styled multiple ways. That’s the beauty of it!
